CWRU School of Medicine
The School of Medicine had an interesting take on development. They did not believe in source control or cross-training developers as each developer was 100% responsible for "their code". This mentality could only come from a
governmental approach
where an employee will probably be there for many, many years. The nice thing is that when you are developing a new project, 100% of the code is your own and it is refreshing to know everything there is to know about a project and to easily understand all of the code in it.
I developed many highly-used projects including the student ePortfolio, the faculty ePortfolio (which included an automatic CV [Curriculum Vitae] generator), and two searching programs (one simple and one complex) for searching published medical papers for all of CWRU's staff.

Did you know? I went to Case (CWRU) as a student before I started working at the School Of Medicine a few years after I graduated with a B.S. in Computer Engineering.
