SecuReach:
Dr. Pap, believe it or not a former OB/GYN physician, started up
SecuReach.
At the surface it is a system that calls patients about upcoming appointments and tests as well as test results from previous tests.
However, it does so much more than that!
Most doctor's offices get an insurance discount simply by using this system. SecuReach has a voicemail system that allows a patient to use a mailbox and pin number to listen to secure messages. The system permanently records that message and when it was listened to. In fact, the system keeps track of everything and even alerts the practice when things don't look normal. If a patient missed a test or never listened to their test results (among many other things), the office knows about it.
If a patient claims that 4 years ago the doctor never warned them about further treatment the exact voicemail that said "You need to get this checked into immediately" that was listened to on October 27th at 6:22 PM can be retrieved.
The system also serves as an e-chart of sorts since it tracks patients and their demographics, appointments, tests, results, and notes.
ActionLink:
ActionLink goes into major retailers (Best Buy, Circuit City, Office Max, etc) and sets up promotional displays and discounted products.
A survey is done (to the store manager) when everything is done to determine what the sales numbers can't tell you (The display was damaged, there was no shelf space for the product, only products A, C, D, E were available, etc.
ActionLink had been hand-producing complex excel sheets to report the results to all of their hundreds of clients. They realized that a real-time reporting system was necessary.
The end product is a system that mimics the spreadsheet reporting complete with charting, drill-down reports, trending, and ways to fully customize each report (down to stylesheets, removing bad questions, rewording things, creating new charts, and customizing who can see and do things by each report.
Senior American:
Some have called this 'MySpace for senior citizens', but it is a lot more than that.
It is a service that is paid for that has lots of perks of which the web community is only a fraction of all that is offered.
Face to face (in real life) community events are set up regularly. Lots of discounts are available to members.
(I don't know all of them, but things like roadside automobile assistance, discounts on movie tickets, and the like are examples).
One main goal is for members to not get scammed by people on the internet or in real life, so lots of programs are set up to help seniors out.
Also, for the single seniors and couples out there, the site makes it easy to connect to others that are in their same situation in life.
Vista7 (Davis Eye Center):
This is an all-in-one solution for the Davis Eye Center which specializes in Lasic eye surgery.
It handles billing, inventory, sales, appointments, benefits, payroll, time sheets, patient demographics, and more.
