Racist Anti-Racists. Oxymoron? Yeah, there are people that are fighting as hard as they can for social equality. Great, but I really don't care that 37 generations ago some white guy enslaved you. That does not give you more privileges than me. I believe in absolute equality. The best person for the job, period. Black, white, green, blue...if you can do the job the best, then you get it. Man or woman, whoever is the best able. You don't get more because you are a minority. You don't get more because you are a woman. You don't get less because you are a man or because you aren't a minority. Shoot, I live in the city of Cleveland, in which white people are minorities. Where are my benefits? I have a friend that tried to become a policeman. He goes to take the entrance exam and sits in between two black men. They ask him, "Where is your pretest?" He replied, "What pretest?" They told him, "The pretest the NAACP gave us." He took the test and finished in the 64th percentile. A minority that finished in the 59th (which is clearly 5 percentage points lower) was awarded employment to meet affirmative action numbers, while the white 64th percentile man was sent home. Affirmative action has clearly achieved its purpose and is now hurting people instead of helping people. What about military schools that have had strict physical standards for hundreds of years. Suddenly they must make different standards for women. Oh, you only have to do half of the push-ups. Well, instead of making cookie-cutter perfect soldiers, now there are sets of people out there with much lower abilities whose hands you are putting your life into. Bull.
What's the deal with Anti-religion, especially in politics and the court system? I know a guy that was in a public school and was mad about a certain course of action that was taken. There was a hallway dedicated to world religions. One side of the wall had posters of the 10 Commandments, the 6 Steps of Hinduism, etc. Of course, in a public school all of those had to be taken down. The other side of the hallway had pictures of great figures in history. Ghandi, MLK, a depiction of Jesus, etc. Many of the pictures had strong religious ties, including Ghandi and Hinduism, yet the only one that got ordered to be taken down by the courts was the depiction of Jesus. People are yelling about the freaking Pledge of Allegiance. This country was founded on religion. The reason that there is a separation of church and state is so that they cannot share or influence one another's power. Well, now we've gone ahead and destroyed that original intention. Now "state" has much more power because it is removing religion from EVERYTHING and making the world a much worse place to live in because of it. One more thing...how come whenever you see Christians in movies, they seem like psychotic nutballs? Either that or they don't live by Christian values at all. Sheez.
Alright. Okay. So you can't find a job for a month or two and you've got a kid that you need to buy some diapers and formula for. What the heck do you do? Welfare will do the trick for you. Sign on up and you get a check to help pay the bills that you can't pay for on your own. Yikes, but what's going to happen when this other kid that I'm pregnant with is born? Don't you fret for even a single second, single mom, because you'll be getting EVEN MORE money in your welfare check when you have another kid. Oh, fo' real? The two different baby daddy's for my first two 'chilluns' are long gone, but I'll go out and find another guy to get pregnant again with. Hey mister, what's your name? Naw, never mind, it don't matter. I just want more money in my welfare check. Pretty soon, miss welfare mom has 14 little 'chilluns' that have 13 different baby daddies in jail or long forgotten from another one night stand. The only reason there's only 13 is because one of 'em came back a few years later for a "good time". Does anybody else think that these leeches are a little out of control? I would love to have seven kids if it wasn't such a huge responsibility. Is it not such a huge responsibility for these welfare moms? Well, no, not really. They get more and more money for each one they have. They don't even need to take care of them or help them out with homework, because without much deviation, they all send their kids to public school as childcare. Johnny got straight F's? Who cares, at least he was out of my hair for nine months. Oh, what's that? It takes a village to raise a child? Thank goodness, at least I don't have to do it! Now, seriously, if that were the only effort it took to raise a child, I'd pop out a new litter of the little tikes every year, too (well, that's physically impossible for me, so I'd have to make some other arrangements with someone who could bear children in order to accomplish such a feat). Doesn't it bother anybody else that this woman is basically selling herself to us so that she can sleep around as much as possible and produce offspring with some of the lowest potential in the entire country? I wish I could figure out a way to cut this leech off of my resources. The least we can do it cap the extra money at like five kids, or even three...
Dude, homosexual acceptance? Seriously, I don't automatically dislike you if you are gay. I actually know a few gay people and they are cool. However, the Bible says it's wrong and I believe what it says. I think that a gay person is confused and the "but it feels so right" is just a confused lie that is being whispered into their ears. Why does every single new TV show need a gay dude on it? I don't want to see straight people playing gay people on TV so that I can begin to "accept" gay people. That's bull.
Learn to use a computer! I swear, if I have to hold another middle-aged parent’s hand through the simplest of technological tasks… My own father has the hardest time trying to figure out how the heck to point a mouse at an icon and double click on it. After 12 passes over and around the icon, he’ll right click on it twice (separated by about six seconds), and yell at how the computer never does what he wants it to do. This computer is so stupid. Oh yes, that inanimate object which NEVER crashes for me and always does EXACTLY what I tell it to is stupid, not YOU. The ineptitude of most people are slightly less severe, but far more annoying. I could never be a help desk guru. “Uh-oh, I broke the cup-holder on my computer.” How about: “Where is the 'any key'?" Or, try this:
“I can’t get on that interweb.”
“Ok, are you receiving any error messages.”
“No.”
“What kind of internet service provider or broadband provider do you have?”
“Uh, interweb huh?”
“If you open up your browser, can you describe what it does?”
“What’s a browser?”
“For you, it’s probably Internet Explorer.”
“Oh, but I can’t get on the interweb.”
“You don’t need to have an open connection to have and open Internet Explorer. Can you use your mouse and click on the windows start button, then on programs, then find and click on Internet Explorer?”
“I can’t.”
“Why?”
“It’s black.”
“What is black, your monitor?”
“Yeah.”
“Oh, sonofa… is your computer on?”
“How do I know if it’s on? Does it have to be on to get on the interweb?”
My home computer from last year has 512 MB of 2700 DDR RAM, 312 Gigs of HD space with two 80s RAID striped together, an Athlon 2100+ processor, an 802.11b card, blue cold cathode ray lighting, 40X Lite-On burner, and NVIDIA GeForce FX 5600 128 MB video card. Do these things confuse you? They shouldn’t! Why are people afraid to use the internet? So many people are terrified of making an online purchase because they think once they do 700 hackers will have their credit card information and suddenly millions of dollars will be spent using their good name. That doesn’t happen! What a huge generational gap. My parents waste hours of time each day waiting for the weather to show up on TV, watching local (and completely and utterly useless) news, looking up addresses and phone numbers using the yellow pages and books of maps. I can get the local weather, the weather in Boca Raton, Florida, all of the news I care about, and step by step directions to anywhere all in about five minutes by knowing how to function while online. What about the idiots that don’t know how to search for things online? They’ll type something like: “I would like to know how many McDonalds are by my house” into the search bar. Did you seriously expect to get an answer? I’m gonna aol onto email to search the intraweb for how idiotic you are. LOL. rofl, imho ur an imbecile.
I get utterly irked by double standards. If you really get to know me you’ll find that double standards are pretty much my largest pet peeve. Things cannot have double standards, and have to be uniformly fair to all. I can’t stand social double standards, government imposed double standards, and most especially double standards that countless individuals have. I probably have double standards that I don’t even realize I have, so I get on my own nerves. Double standards between men and women and differing races really mess with me. I have another rant dedicated to complete social equality. Why the heck do certain ethic or gender groups get treated differently? Now, I’m not talking personal prejudices, I’m talking about government institutions and such things. Why is there BET (Black Entertainment Television)? Why is there a black history month? Where is Indian month, Spanish month, Asian month, White month (or even Italian month, Irish month, Greek month, etc)? Oh, but Jason, EVERY other month is white history month … Shut up! No it’s not! Don’t be so self-absorbed and callous. No, you know what, never mind. Take Martin Luther King, Jr. Day and like it!

Why can women get away with so many things that guys can’t? A girl can dance alone or with another girl and everything is cool. A guy that does the same has to reevaluate his sanity. Why do women get to sit on the bus while men stand and hang on to the wall handle? Why do guys have to pay for all of the dates? Maybe back when men made the money and women didn’t that made sense, but now women work as much as men do, so shouldn’t they stop free-loading on their dates? With every new freedom and greater ability comes greater responsibility. Why is it that a guy that sleeps around is called a player and a girl that does the same is a slut? Why do men go bald and women don’t? Come on President Bush, I want equal treatment! Here’s a good one, a triple standard concerning the word gay. Gay was originally a word that meant “showing or characterized by cheerfulness and lighthearted excitement; merry.” Homosexuals chose the word to describe themselves because it very loosely described the flamboyant appearance and behavior of a minority of their group. It is not a requirement to be a homosexual in order to be lighthearted and merry, and many who enjoy those of their same sex are not very cheerful at all. However, this hardly related word was chosen by homosexuals for themselves. At some point in time gay began being used as in “that’s totally gay” or “this is gay” which is nearly the antonym for the original meaning of the word. The third flavor of gay means stupid, unappealing, disagreeable, etc. This is not related to either of the first two meanings of the word, so how can homosexuals complain about the use of the word? What’s with the double standard?

Why do so many Catholic churches have bingo nights, night-at-the-races, and other gambling fundraisers? Last time I checked on WWJG? (When Would Jesus Gamble?), it was never with no over under. Maybe I should just shut up because there are definite times in which double standards certainly should exist. For example, why the heck are there traffic laws? To keep things safe, of course. People stop at stop signs and traffic lights, go somewhere around the speed limit; signal turns as a courtesy, etc. However, why in God’s name would a police officer give a ticket to somebody for stopping at a red light at 3:00 AM, looking both ways (and seeing absolutely nobody), then continuing through the light? Is this creating an unsafe situation? No. Yet, it happens. This is why Montana had no speed limit for a while, because there weren’t any drivers on the road that would ever create an unsafe situation for others. I could go on for days…
You Owe Me Cause Someone You Never Met Did Something Bad To Someone I Never Met. (This is more about double standards).

I remember being in Sociology and how the girls always get whipped into a frenzy about hating men and how stuff that happened over 100 years ago makes me accountable for them being ignorant and ugly. Just by being in the class put me in a position that I had to defend actions I never even made. It’s total crap and I don't have to take it. I want one girl that I've oppressed to come up to me and point it out. In fact, not only have I not directly oppressed anyone, I am constantly being oppressed socially. Guys can’t do a thing anymore without offending someone, but a girl can do anything she wants and defend themselves with a number of catchphrases or nothing at all. If I get mad in public, even if it was a very good reason, like someone cut me off or someone threw something at me, I am a jerk. But a girl is just righting what’s wrong, and can be a jerk and then return to her normal persona not with a negative stigma, but now even a more positive light on her. If I cry at ANYTHING that doesn’t involve a loss of a close family member, then I'm a pansy. I can't date girls cause I'm emotionally unstable, and I'm probably gay anyway. A girl can cry because she just remembered that in 2nd grade someone took extra long on the swings and oppressed her out of her turn and it's ok, and not only is it ok, everyone in the world will rush to her aid. If a guy gets a girlfriend soon after a breakup, then he is being ‘insensitive’, but if the girl gets one she is ‘moving on’. Trust me, I've actually had girls tell me these are the "rules of dating" and they weren't joking. The point is, a guy has to fit into a specific mental type or else he isn't considered a guy. Girls want to piss and moan about their body images they have to live up to? We have that too, and then mental cages on.

Ever see that progressive commercial? The one with that woman doing online voodoo to get back at her cheating boyfriend? I wanna kick her in her skinny empty head. Guess what? If a guy was doing that to a girl (let's just assume that the voodoo worked and would thusly be a form of assault) he is dangerous, obsessive and stalking her. But since it was a girl she is getting what's right (I guess because she deserved it) and being cute. It's completely ridiculous, this is a glaring double standard, and I guarantee there is someone thinking I'm a jerk right now for thinking this. There are many more. Guys aren't allowed to feel safe. If I go to a bar and get groped by a girl (trust me this actually happens) and then tell the bouncer, what happens? Well first let's reverse this. If I groped a girl in a bar what would happen? I'd get slapped, then she would tell the bouncer who would bust me up with a barstool, and then I'd potentially have to deal with the cops. Well, back to my side. If I told the bouncer, he’d laugh at me and say "so?" That’s it. Then, if I get slapped I am allowed no recourse, but girls can slap freely. Not too often does someone actually get in trouble for slapping. There are talk shows and occasional paper articles on husbands being beaten by their wives and cannot do anything because the police don't believe them. Some of the husbands are actually taken to jail because the cops think he is lying. They don't get any credit until they have to catch it on camera. How ridiculous is that? In their own home they have to videotape what goes on so they can get any sort of credibility. I am not defending men beating women in the least, I am just writing on the double standards we face that we aren't allowed to even complain about to change.

Here’s a quick mention of a few more double standards. Think about child custody, alimony and child support, and divorces in general. It just pisses me off that this can all go on but no one can do anything without seeming a huge jerkoff. Like you know all these breast cancer walks? Great for them, but you’ll look like an insensitive jerk when you say why not make it prostate/breast cancer walk? So, when you have to explain, you say that prostate cancer kills more men than breast cancer infects women. It infects more, acts quicker, and kills a higher percentage of those infected. But I'm obviously out of my crazy mind by suggesting this. You’d think it was men that were making this decision because who cares about dying men when boobs are at stake? Arrgg!
I'm gonna move into a cave (or New Hampshire) to escape the insanity that is enveloping the world. (This is more about things that are unfair).

Try as hard as you can to remove any bias that you have regarding anything at all. Who cares what religion, sex, age, color, sexual orientation, ethnicity, or political beliefs you hold. Please, just use logic to determine whether or not many of these following things truly are fair. Some of these things limit free speech. Some of these things go beyond all logical thought and reason. For some odd reason the climate of the world caters to whomever holds the minority belief. Basically, he (or she) who screams the loudest wins. It is really hurting the average, the majority, the masses.

A church that attempted to put a notice for their Christmas concert up on a public library bulletin board in Britain was told it could not do so because it might offend non-Christians, reports the Daily Telegraph. Officials from the same library in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, however, held a party to celebrate the Muslim festival of Eid at the end of Ramadan only a few days earlier. Bridget Adams, 57, a school teacher and a member of the choir at All Saints church in High Wycombe was refused permission by library officials to display a poster stating the dates and times of its Christmas services. Margaret Dewar, the city official in charge of libraries, was furious that folks from the church made a stink about the incident. "I am appalled at the attitude of these so-called Christians making such a fuss about this policy,” she said. "It is quite a different thing having a party organized by a library to promote cultural understanding and accepting notices for religious services.”

> Okay, so the LIBRARY ITSELF has every right to pick any old religion and hold a party for it? This isn't even as bad as allowing certain religions on the wall and disallowing others. This library actually was the organization that THREW the Muslim Eid party. Tell me I'm not crazy, but that is totally insane to me.

Comments by a city councillor in Britain to the effect that God didn’t create men to complement each other are being called homophobic by gay activists and fueling demands for her resignation, reports the London Evening Standard. In a letter to a local paper, Whitton councillor Hilary Dance stated that "God did not originally make two men to love and complement each other, neither did he create two women to love and complement each other." The Gay Men's AIDS Forum described its members as “enraged” by the statement. “We will not tolerate her remaining in office whilst promoting and exhibiting such homophobic views," it said.

> First of all I would like to point out that this counselor is entirely within their free-speech rights with any and all of these comments. I would most likely guess that this city counselor is referring to the God referred to in the Bible or the Torah. It says very much so in black and white that God created man first, then he created woman as a companion to the man. It also refers to how the woman and man complement each other. Further implications are that two women or two men cannot reproduce with one another. Referring to these religious documents does not make a person either fearful or full of hate towards an individual with a homosexual orientation. Therefore, are these groups actually not calling this counselor homophobic, but actually condemning all Christians and Jews as being homophobes?

A flier promoting a YMCA basketball camp cannot be handed out by teachers in a California school because text on it mentions the organization’s “Christian principles,” reports the Bakersfield Californian. Officials in the Panama-Buena Vista Union School district in Bakersfield have forbidden fliers for a basketball camp for 4- to 12-year-olds because they include the sentence, "To put Christian principles into practice through programs that build spirit, mind and body for all." The ban surfaced following complaints from a parent that a Salvation Army poster hanging at the school asking for clothing donations was an illegal promotion of a Christian organization at a state school. Following the complaint, school officials started monitoring material in the schools closer.

The first of a series of Diversity Lectures held at the University of Louisville in Kentucky brought the notoriously racist Sister Souljah to campus at a cost of more than $10,000, reports the Louisville Cardinal. The speech, in which Ms. Souljah was reported to have berated white people for more than two hours, was paid for with a $50,000 contribution by Bank One. The bank donated the money as penance after some of its employees were caught handing out racist tee shirts on campus. Her speech was part of an effort to bring to campus “thought-provoking speakers that would really give us some opportunity to engage in a dialogue on some difficult issues related to race and race relations,” said Mordean Taylor-Archer, the school’s Vice Provost for Diversity and Equal Opportunity. And it did just that. One student who attended said, “I came there for a diversity speech only to hear examples against white people. I had to sit there for two hours and listen to this speaker say nothing but hateful remarks. I felt hated.” But a university faculty member who attended a forum about the speech later said the university has a responsibility to place people in uncomfortable situations to help them grow. Sister Souljah is famous for advocating, after the Los Angeles race riots several years ago, “war” against white people, including a special week set aside each year to kill white people. She says unapologetically that she wants what’s best for her (read: black) people, and that “if my survival means your total destruction, then so be it.”

> I love this one. Promote diversity by hating on and generally berating white people. This concept is a real winner. This will bring great steps towards diversity and unity. It will show everyone how different white people are from every other color, then it will unify every non-white person against white people. Nice job there U. of Louisville and Bank One.

We avoided it at first because it sounded too much like an urban legend, but a report that Los Angeles County has barred IT contractors from using the terms “Master/Slave” on their computer equipment in order to preserve cultural sensitivity appears to be true. The estimable Snopes website tracked a memo from Los Angeles’ Internal Services Department earlier this month telling contractors to “ensure that any equipment, supplies or services that are provided to County departments do not possess or portray an image that may be construed as offensive or defamatory in nature.” One such offense is apparently use of the computing term Master/Slave, which Snopes says is a “term commonly used in computing (and related industries) to describe the unidirectional control of one device or process by another.” Things are worse than we thought.

> This sounds like a joke but it is entirely true. I heard on the grapevine (oops, I mean general fruit/vegetable vine) that they will be changing penal system to gender non-specific reproductive organ system and are in the works to rename flame retardant products.

Lastly, an actual decision IN FAVOR OF free speech and fair treatment:

A federal judge in Michigan wondered aloud in court whether a public high school’s refusal to allow a student to discuss the traditional Christian view that homosexuality is sinful during a Diversity Week seminar was not akin to the suppression of dissenting viewpoints under totalitarian regimes, reports the Detroit News. The judge’s questions came during arguments over a lawsuit filed by Elizabeth Hansen, who sued Ann Arbor Pioneer High School after it refused to allow her to express her religious beliefs during a Gay-Straight Alliance forum titled "Homosexuality and Religion." The forum included six religious leaders -- all of whom believed homosexuality is not incompatible with religion. According to the newspaper reports of the hearing, U.S. District Judge Gerald E. Rosen wondered whether the district's refusal to allow Hansen to speak was un-American. “Isn’t this cultural hegemony, where you’re only going to present one view to the exclusion of others?” he asked lawyers arguing the case. “Don’t you think that smacks of government and religious totalitarianism?”
